Find Android tablet apps
A tablet is only as good as the software it runs. Unfortunately for Android tablet owners, finding great tablet-optimized software can be a struggle. Browsing Google Play (formerly known as the Android Market), there's no easy way to filter out smartphone apps and focus just on the meaty tablet stuff.

Finally, a Bumblebee model that actually transforms
Fitted with twenty-two servo motors, the Bumblebee model resembles the Transformers characters from the original animation series from the ‘80s that was based on a Volkswagen Beetle instead of the now-famous yellow-with-a-black-pinstripe Chevy Camaro. And, unlike most Bumblebee models out there, this one actually transforms from a car into a humanoid robot and back.
And the truly delightful thing about this model is that apart from the fascinating and easy-on-the-eye transformations, the thing even does little dances, thrusts its fists through the air and walks about. In Autobot mode, the Bumblebee reincarnation is just as fun as it is in the car mode. According to its maker, this is “Version 8” of the transforming Transformers model and a fresher “Version 9” is on its way.

Toshiba's 13-inch Excite: does the world need a tablet this large

And despite being bigger than pretty much every other competing tablet on the market, the Excite 13 is fairly thin and light for its size, Leavitt said, noting that it will weigh 2.2 pounds and measure 0.4 inches thick.

LG unveils flexible plastic E-paper display, aims for European launch next month

LG has made no secret of its fondness for flexible e-paper, but those dreams became a reality today, with the announcement of a six-inch display that promises to "revolutionize the e-book market." The malleable plastic display sports a resolution of 1024 x 768 and can bend at an angle of up to 40 degrees. At just 0.7 millimeters thick, it's about one-third thinner than similarly-specced glass displays, and weighs in at 14 grams -- more than half as light as its glassy competition. LG also claims that the display is super durable, as evidenced by a series of successful drop tests from a height of 1.5 meters. The plan going forward is to supply the display to ODMs in China, in the hopes of bringing final products to Europe by "the beginning of next month." For more details, check out the full press release after the break.
